The New Acropolis Museum is magnificent and there is no reasons now not to return them.Laurenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03297393116796129135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6993287630738849371.post-40714275502538519222014-12-06T13:01:04.937-05:002014-12-06T13:01:04.937-05:00I continue to stun myself with how little I know, ...I continue to stun myself with how little I know, in this case about Athens, having just been there. Here is an interesting Greek 'current events' piece. Wonder how/if the Elgin Marbles business will finally/ever be resolved.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/06/world/europe/elgin-marbles-lent-to-hermitage-museum.html?emc=edit_th_20141206&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=40791941&_r=0Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6993287630738849371.post-58973689807597040942014-12-02T23:44:04.297-05:002014-12-02T23:44:04.297-05:00This was a marvelous read

One of my all-time most favourite cities in the world. I love the atmosphere and the people. I tried speaking as much French as my school years have taught me and people went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Ate famous Quebec City "Assiete Rosbif avec Poutine" - magnifique. Love the city walls and the old architecture. Probably the most European North American city. The Plains of Abraham are amazing (and so is the spectacular museum), given their history. I finally saw with my own eyes what I only read in the school history books before.

On another note, Palast der Republik in East Berlin is famous for a concert that Tangerine Dream gave there in 1980 (with Johannes Schmoelling joining the band for the first time), recording the Quichotte I and II electronic music pieces released on the Pergamon album in 1986.

Iwonka, Paweł i Bruno Jachowiczhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09960872175898893652noreply@blogger.com
